TV Wall Outlet Installation in Leander, TX

Mounting the TV is the easy part. The cord running down the wall to the outlet by the baseboard is what makes it look unfinished, and the extension cord tucked behind the drywall to fix that is what makes it a fire hazard. Running a power cord inside a wall is not allowed for a reason.
The right way is a recessed outlet behind the TV, fed by proper cable inside the wall from a new or existing outlet below, with a low-voltage pass-through beside it for HDMI, ethernet and speaker wire. TV outlet questions
Can I just run the TV power cord inside the wall?
No. Appliance power cords and extension cords are not rated for in-wall use. The right approach is a recessed outlet behind the TV fed by proper in-wall cable, or a listed in-wall power kit. We install either.
Can you put an outlet above a fireplace?
Usually, yes. Fireplace walls need attention to the chase, the heat and what is behind the surface, and masonry takes different tools, but it is a common install for us.
Do you mount the TV, too?
We can. Many customers have us do the outlet and pass-through and mount the TV in the same visit so it is done once.
Can you add HDMI and ethernet at the same time?
Yes. We install a brush plate or conduit beside the power outlet so HDMI, ethernet, speaker wire and antenna cable run inside the wall with the power.
